“Bad news for all you broke-ass brand whores who do your shopping in Chinatown alleyways: Knockoffs don’t just cheapen your look, they blacken your soul.”
Funny, funny, funny and so very accurate! (Sorry Laurie, bad news for you but this explains a lot.)
I’m not commenting on the legitimacy or lack thereof of perceived unethical behavior. Or the pathetic yearning for $1000 purses, watches, jeans or shoes (okay, perhaps shoes…) but rather, that ability for an authentic review of life, written with real words from a real person that make us read on, laugh, think and ponder.
Laugh out loud, then totally knock-your-socks off informative. I love this writer, Suzanne Labarre, and kudos for Fast Company for once again making business writing not suck. Because it usually does.
Just thought I’d share before everyone heads out to get the latest and greatest back-to-school items and latest fall fashion trends. You church goers may want to make a stop on the way home.
