There was a call for submissions (not sexy time; instead, it’s when editors post/email/request stories on a said subject: ‘we’re accepting essays on Topic X’). Kinda like an RFP (request for proposals) for writers.
It was from Redacted: What Divorced Women Aren’t Telling You, that I stumbled upon on Insta or somewhere, and I was like, hmmmm, I just may have something about that.
Which isn’t to say I’m not telling you, it’s just to say, I didn’t think I’d end up here, and since I am, I’ll share some of these entries written before I knew what I didn’t know.
Does that make sense?
Anyhoos, I sent in a quickie, about opening a bank account for my measly part-time job plus any extra cash back. Just in case.
And the editor wrote back. Said she loved it. And is running it. And it’s here if you’d like to take a look.
