Proud to say, all is not shit. Most is, but here’s some that is most definitely not:
I’m reading a story about growing up country in Rye NY at the Watershed Literary Conference, Writes & Bites, this Friday, Sept 26. Not sure most people will believe the story I’m telling, but my cousin Mark can 100% vouch for authenticity and accuracy.
This opportunity emerged from the best comment I’ve ever gotten:

But wait, there’s more!
Next weekend, Oct 4th I’m reading a not-so-nice exposé about my mom, kinda about my kids, but mostly about myself, in New Milford, CT at Expressing Motherhood. Nobody can vouch for accuracy on this cuz they’re dead, which is why I can share.
More good news on my substack, just like my blog, but apparently “better,” which I still don’t really know how to use but am trying. Please subscribe if you haven’t, and no, you don’t have to pay a penny.
Not unlike how work situations might have me applying to Walmart. If you missed that, you can read it here.
Instead of Walmart, I’d rather be doing things like this: which thankfully, I am.
